This is part of our entry in the design competition for a 1000 m2 Pre-School facility to be built in Himeji Prefecture. 

Working with the Kyoto architects group ‘Kyoto 2111’ we set out to create a building that was designed more from a child’s point of view ( a kind of anti-institution).

So we have an elevated undulating ‘ground’,  a loose cluster of ‘acorn’ rooms and roofs like giant ‘leaves’. There are many different paths, and many different kinds of spaces and materials (and very little uniformity….)
