BUILDING
atelier BORONSKI is developing a strong and fluid design vocabulary across a diverse range of building types, generating elegant, durable and dramatic buildings. Significant research and analysis is brought to bear on every project, often in collaboration. Evocative materials, intelligent engineering and environmentally sensitive strategies are all employed to bring our designs to life. Architecture is a connective and fundamentally social experience.
The results we are striving for generate a built environment that is elegant, engaging and uplifting.
atelier BORONSKI
atelier BORONSKI is a bilingual design office based in Kyoto and directed by a New Zealand born architect educated in both New Zealand and Japan.
After representing New Zealand in sports Peter Boronski studied Architecture at Auckland University and graduated with first class honours. With a Japanese Government scholarship he completed post-graduate studies at Kyoto University in 1996. He has received design awards in New Zealand, Japan and Taiwan. His works have been published in eight different languages and in over twelve different countries. Projects of atelier BORONSKI have been featured on the covers of architectural journals in Italy, Germany, Korea, India and Taiwan. He has been a guest lecturer at universities in both New Zealand and Japan and has held the position of lecturer at Kyoto University.
We have a small core staff and a regular crew of visiting interns (both local and international) and we are passionate about and intimately involved in each project we undertake. With over 20 years of professional experience and built projects in four different countries atelier BORONSKI is well established, diverse and has accumulated significant depth.
