Poland Pavilion - Osaka Expo 2025

This building was designed by Interplay Architects, from Poland. Here in Osaka atelier BORONSKI was part of the Construction / Management team that organised and oversaw the construction of this 1,100 m2 all timber Exhibition Space.

There was also a small concert hall, a resteraunt, retail space and back-of-house facilities such as offices, security, VIP access etc. The interlocking timber facade system was manufactured in Kagoshima and shipped up to the Expo site, and the elevators came from Taiwan.

We took this project from bare ground to opening day in just eight months. Many different specialists and consultants were involved and there was a lot of pressure. It was very demanding but very rewarding to be part of such a high performance team!
